I too would like to send clothing etc, to help those poor people. I have all my wifes family out there and some of them have lost their homes and lifestock. It's a tragedy, more rain forecast for Friday as well!. Please let me know as soon as you have details of where to send items.

I too live in London but I have family in Madeira and friends. I am so very upset by what's happened and am also very keen to find out how I can send clothes etc to Madeira. Thank you.

Due to the enormous generosity of the local residents on Madeira, the appeal for clothes, toiletries and other items has been temporarily suspended. Please keep an eye on this information area as we will still need your assistance if the appeal should open again at a later date.

The Madeira Times has set up an account with Paypal so that you can make donations on line. These funds will be transfered to the Banif Account as mentioned above.

Please note, some people are having problems with the PayPal link, which we are trying to resolve.
